Let’s start with my parents

Mum told me that she had the following conversation with dad few days back!

dad: how old is our 2nd daughter - i.e Me ?

Mum: 27 *chinese age la! i’m only 25* 

dad: how old were u when u married me?

Mum: 24 

dad: when is she getting married?

Mum: 0_O you didn’t ask about your eldest daughter when she will she get married even until she was 30 years old!!! why now u worry about your second daughter?

dad: don’t know, 2nd one still like a kid!

hahahah

Second conversation in the car the other day with mum and dad

Mum”:I better keep the condo for you then next time u can stay with your husband!

Me: oh.. sure! thanks! 

Dad: why want to stay in a condo when it is just 5-10 min drive from our house? our house is quite empty now! just stay at home la!! don’t need to stay in condo! 

Mum n dad kept quiet!  during dinner later on, mum told elder sis that dad is inviting me and husband to be to stay in our house! muahahah

Another one ..

Me : i’m looking at this 4 room flat with 3 bedrooms 

Mum: oh.. make sure u have sufficient rooms..later you get married better quickly get kids, it is harder to become pregnant when u r old! 

Me: i’m still young! 

Mum: then if u get 1 boy and 1 girl, u’ll need 2 rooms for them, if 2 of same gender then can share a room.. plus u better prepare a guest room just in case i need to stay in your place! 

wah! she’s even planning hoe many kids and how many rooms i need in my new house!!

Now, Bf’s family

His Mum: when r u getting married ?

Him: Don’t know 

His Mum: you better let me know early, i need to prepare and better do it soon before i forget all the traditional stuffs! 

He kept quiet .. his mum said again 

His mum: so is your gf ok with you and your finances?

Him: i told her what i have and she seems OK with it! 

His Mum: you sure? and what is she expecting from you?

Him: Don’t know!! 

Seems like both families are more gan zheong that us !! teehee…. i’m sure you’ll ask me “when r u getting married?” answer is I DON’T KNOW!!
